Get ready for an exciting cultural journey from Esch-sur-Alzette to the Caribbean! From Esch to the Caribbean brings people together through the vibrant sounds of Caribbean music, the energy of dance and the colourful creativity of carnival.
Taking place at Bâtiment 4 in Esch-sur-Alzette, this programme invites children, teenagers and adults to discover new skills, express themselves creatively, make friends and experience the richness of Caribbean culture.
Whether you want to explore the infectious rhythms of steelpan, learn energetic dance moves or get creative designing carnival costumes, there is something for everyone. No previous experience is needed—just enthusiasm and a willingness to join in!
Discover the unique sound of the Caribbean steelpan! Explore rhythm and melody, learn about this distinctive musical tradition and experience the joy of making music together.
Feel the rhythm, move your body and let the music take over! Our dance workshops explore Soca and Dancehall, two energetic Caribbean dance styles full of personality, expression and infectious beats. Build confidence, learn new moves and enjoy dancing in a welcoming environment.
Step into the colourful world of Caribbean carnival! Explore creative techniques, experiment with materials and accessories, and discover how carnival costumes bring imagination, colour and cultural expression to life.
The Caribbean experience would not be complete without its food! Visit our Caribbean food stand featuring live cooking on our jerk drum and enjoy delicious Caribbean dishes and drinks while soaking up the atmosphere. Come for the workshops, stay for the culture, and treat your taste buds to a little taste of the islands!
